A hurricane is a wind of extraordinary force that forms a whirlwind and spins in great circles. The hurricane usually originates in the tropics and, from the moment of its birth, it begins to expand its diameter and the cyclone is accompanied by thunderstorms.

It should be noted that the violence of the wind means that hurricanes can have destructive effects and also collapse entire cities. To be properly considered a hurricane, any cyclone must present winds of at least 119 kilometers per hour.
